(Press release: Krefeld, May 17, 2019) – The battery module by E-Stream Energy GmbH & Co. KG has passed several mechanical load tests at SLG Prüf- und Zertifizierungs GmbH. The tested module (without lithium ion cells) underwent various vibration and shock tests. After completion of the tests, no mechanical damage could be detected from the outside.

Thomas Krämer, Managing Director of E-Stream Energy: “By passing the mechanical load tests at SLG, we have reached another milestone in the development of our innovative battery systems. The resistance of our battery modules is an essential prerequisite for practical application, especially in the mobile sector.”

In 2017, successful load tests had already been carried out on the battery system by other testers. Lastly, in March 2019, the fast charging capability was successfully demonstrated.

The mechanical load tests were carried out in the period from 15 to 16 May 2019 in the vibration laboratory of SLG Prüf- und Zertifizierungs GmbH in Hartmannsdorf. Among other things, the regulations in the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria served as a basis for testing.
